Finalist: Azalea Quartet

Azalea QuartetFormed in 2008, the Azalea String Quartet is comprised of alumni of the Cleveland Institute of Music. The quartet has most recently performed as finalists in the J. C. Arriaga Chamber Music Competition, and is preparing for upcoming competitions and performances. Since its inception, the quartet has been featured on TV and radio appearances, as well as numerous recordings for American Greetings.

The Azalea String Quartet and its members have worked with Erich Eichorn, Peter Salaff of the Cleveland Quartet, as well as members of the Miami, Cavani, Juilliard, Guarneri, Bergonzi, Arianna, Chester String Quartets and the Nobilis Trio.

The Azalea String Quartet is dedicated to music education. Its members are on faculty at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Aurora School of Music and the Fairmount Center for the Arts. This summer, they will coach student chamber music ensembles at CIM's Summer Chamber Music Program.
